Registration conditions


Due to the success of the conference and the unexpected high number of attendees, we are now in the situation where we have no other choice than closing the registration for all events of ISMIR 2018, except for the meet-up with industry event which remains open for registration.

We will maintain a waiting list, just in case we receive late cancellations.

All indicated rates above include 20% tax charged by the French government.

Registration is required for all participants. When the registration is fully completed and paid, each participant will receive a confirmation with an invoice by email. Registration by phone will not be processed.

Important note for authors:
- One REGULAR registration covers at most two submissions (the author registered must be an author of both contributions).
- Each paper needs to be covered by at least one REGULAR registration.
- In case a STUDENT wants to cover a paper, he/she needs to register at the REGULAR rate.

Tutorial registration fees are valid for 2 tutorials: 1 in the morning and 1 in the afternoon.

Main conference registration fees includes ISMIR fees, welcome reception, banquet and the meetup with industry.

Registration does not cover travel and accommodation costs. Travel and accomodation costs are the responsibility of each participant. If the maximum attendee capacity is reached, the conference organizers reserve the right to refuse additional registrations.

Student status

Please email to some form of documentation (for example, a copy of your student ID card or academic transcript) that clearly indicates your status as a full-time student in 2018.

Authors, have your paper IDs (as assigned during the paper submission process) and titles ready.

Payment will be accepted through the following methods only:

Wire transfer remarks:

A registration is considered completed and valid only when the full payment has been received on the bank account.

All payments made via wire transfer must be received 10 days after your registration is made. If this condition is not fulfilled, your registration will be cancelled.

You will receive the bank account details by email after your online registration. A copy of the bank transfer should be sent by email to:

Do not forget to give the name of the person you are paying for, on the bank transfer order. Bank transfer charges have to be paid by the registrant.

Cancellation and refund policy

All refund/cancellation requests must be provided via email to

  • Up to September 3, 2018: 50€ cancellation fee will be held for administrative fee,
  • From September 4, 2018 and no-shows are not eligible for a refund.

In case of cancellation due to failed visa applications, refunds will not be considered elligible unless a notification is sent by email to no later than September 4, 2018. Cancellations received after this deadline will not be eligible for refund. Please send the document which proves that the visa application was not received with your request.

Privacy of Information

Policy Information provided by the registrant will only be used by ISMIR 2018 conference and its organizational units to serve the registrant for this event. In no way will any individual information be given through, for example sale, exchange, or loan, to a third party for any reason except as required by the prevailing law.
